My vet assures me , they are the harbinger of fleas and it appears, the dear is indeed scratching at a bite.
My favorite pic is the little guy ,appearing to have a mouthful of leaves ,scurrying up the large tree to his warm nest. Spring renovations or perhaps a nest in preparation for his/her ,soon to be born, offspring.
Spring is in the park!
