I bet Sadie loves the quiet and can take deeper naps. It’s extremely quiet and empty out. Juno likes to eat on the lawns sometimes so if he’s done so lately he’s probably had the area to himself. The number of pigeons and rats will probably be unaffected for a long while (if at all). They are great survivors.

I couldn’t help notice how quiet the street below was. I wonder how the hawks are liking it. Do you think it’ll affect their food supply? Fewer people and their garbage around for the pigeons and rats.

I don’t know if it’s relaxation Sadie feels after laying the eggs or just pure exhaustion! I’ve seen her get pretty tired and then crash after laying eggs. 🙂 Thanks, Jeanne!

Another little Hawk for the world.
I love Sadie’s stamina…I got up and walked after a birth, but I can surely state…I never flew!
Seeing Sadie gently rolling the eggs was precious…imagine those talons picking up a dinner of pigeon or rat and now ever so gently , rolling safely, the next generation of Hawks in the nest.
Does it seem ,Sadie is more relaxed, in leaving the nest ,so soon after laying an egg?
Perhaps, Juno is the partner for her and she has confidence to fly ,knowing Juno is sitting and guarding the nest and eggs.
Thanks Roger_Paw for sharing a kinder life in the nest than we are all attempting to survive in the seclusion.
