Bobby already on the roost – October 26, 2011

I’m not exactly sure why but there were three helicopters hovering over Washington Square Park tonight. I figured maybe they had something to do with Occupy Wall Street but the group was not present when I was at the park.

One hawk-watching friend of mine reported seeing the roost empty just before entering the park. Ten minutes later, another hawk-watching friend texted me to let me know a hawk was in the roost. Ah, to have been there to see Bobby fly to the perch! Better luck in the near future since we’re better narrowing down when it’s bed time.
