Rosie and Bobby at the Red Roost Inn – December 28th, 2012

Hawk-watching friends who were in Washington Square Park during the day today reported seeing both Bobby and Rosie perching, flying, and eating vermin. They ate mice and a rat. At one point Bobby caught a mouse and gave it to Rosie to eat (not long after she had eaten a rat).

There was also what looked like a Sharp-shinned Hawk hanging out in the park today. Rosie tolerated it for a while and then eventually drove it out of the park.
