Twenty minutes in Central Park during lunch today brought some cute sights!
The pond has a thin layer of ice in some parts:
But not too thin for a sparrow to walk on:
Blue Jay with a morsel in its beak:
Juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker:
Because of the cold weather and dearth of tourists in this post-holiday season, I had the animals and birds almost completely to myself those precious few minutes.
