Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Rosie and Bobby hawk, Friday afternoon – April 20th, 2012

Rosie:

The perch seems to be one she likes to frequentevery now and then.

So far away:

She returned to the nest. After a while, Bobby appeared with dinner. It looked like part of a bird considering its feet:

Like clockwork, his next stop was the Judson Memorial Church cross:

Rosie still at the nest:

She left the nest and perched nearby before joining him at the cross:

He flew off the perch and far east and out of sight:

Rosie too eventually flew far east and out of sight.

Bobby returned to the nest when I wasn’t looking.

Rosie reappeared, seated on part of NYU’s Silver Center (diagonally across from the nest):
