I caught a lucky break and got to see Sadie right before and after she caught a pigeon a block south from Washington Square Park today.
I first saw her sitting on a regular perch behind the Bobst Library (where the nest is located):
She flew off her perch and swooped behind her.
I looked from every possible angle but didn’t see where she went.
I found her 7 minutes later, sitting further east on the same building complex, pigeon in talons:
I lost her again when she tucked low onto the roof to eat the pigeon. I only saw her for a total of five minutes today but it was great to see her doing well.
A fellow Hawk-watcher saw both her and Bobby earlier this morning.
