Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Bobby and Sadie relaxing, no juvenile – October 20th, 2015

Bobby was the first Washington Square Park Red-tailed Hawk I saw today. He was seated on a regular pigeon-hunting perch a block south from the park:

I had lucky timing because he flew off his perch and went further west after 4 minutes.

He eventually moved to the Judson Memorial Church cross:

He flew out of sight after 8 minutes:

I searched around and then found who I think was Sadie atop a regular southwest building top.

Preening:

It was pretty chilly and breezy so I left the park after an hour and a half.

Facing the sun:

The juvenile was nowhere to be found.
