Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Nest switch and perch hopscotchery – April 9th, 2016

There was lots of Hawk action in Washington Square Park at the tail end of my and a fellow Hawk-watcher’s visit this morning.

Bobby was first on One Fifth Avenue. He hopscotched around on different perches before relieving Sadie of egg incubation duties.

She was off again after a minute:

We had been at the park for two hours and were chilled so we took Sadie’s departure as a good time to leave for the day.
