Flappy baby – May 18th, 2016

Today was the first time I got to see the Washington Square Park Hawk baby flap its developing wings.Sadie was the only adult Hawk I saw during my hour long visit. She was pretty resty at first. She then did a lot of circling, flew north, then returned to the park to perch about.

The little Hawk soon sat down into the nest bowl to rest. Sadie got harassed by a Mockingbird pair while on her favorite southwestern building:
