I work within walking distance of Central Park but rarely get to visit it during the day because of my heavy work load and long hours. Today I decided to take a walk in the park after lunch and enjoy the fresh air and whatever nature I could photograph.
I only had my small lens with me to take close-up shots of the ducks, mallards, and other birds or wildlife I anticipated coming across.
On my way out of the park I noticed the all-too-familiar circling of a red-tailed hawk in the sky.
To my delight, it flew over my head for a couple of seconds:

Because of my limited lens, I only noticed that it was landing on a building top…
…and was not aware that its presumed mate was sitting on the tile roof top until I saw it while looking through the day’s photos at home.
The last 24 hours have brought me the most hawk sightings ever: Bobby, Violet, Evie, and these two hawks.
