Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Relaxed, preeny Hawk visit – May 29th, 2015

Bobby and Sadie were quite relaxed and preeny when I visited Washington Square Park today.

Bobby was the first Hawk I saw:

Bobby circled around then perched below Sadie on NYU’s Silver Center:

Sadie:

Bobby:

They both looked in the same direction:

He flew off then landed on a building a couple of doors south of her to eat:

Wiping up post-meal:

He returned to Silver, sitting north of Sadie:

Hello:

One of the babes got up and looked like it was looking at Bobby:

It too was awfully preeny:

Sadie:

Bobby:

Sadie:

Bobby:

It was good I didn’t stand underneath Bobby for long because I could have been hit by a slice if I weren’t careful:

Bobby left his perch and soared southwest.

Sadie followed:

They both disappeared past the trees I was standing near.I had been in the park for a couple of hours so it was a good time for me to go.
