Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Sadie and Bobby sit close together, subdued baby Hawks – May 31st, 2015

A couple of fellow Hawk-watchers and I watched Bobby and Sadie sit together on Silver Center for half an hour:

Bobby left first:

He flew directly to Broadway:

He was flying down Washington Place. He rounded the corner and flew above Broadway:

The building he rounded was the one at the word “Gallatin” in the Google Maps screenshot below:

One of the babies was up and hanging out in the middle of the window ledge:

Sadie was still on Silver:

She flew off with little warning. I almost missed photographing her jump altogether:

She circled around, flew along Silver, then circled a block east of the park:

It was getting hot and muggy and the Hawks were busy elsewhere so I left for the day.
