Hanging out with the Hawk babies – June 10th, 2015

I saw one of the Washington Square Park Hawk parents flying a block east of the park for a couple of seconds this morning. A fellow Hawk-watcher had seen one of them bring food to the nest minutes earlier.

My visit was thus focused on seeing what the Hawk kids were up to.

Of course the one shot I didn’t get in focus was the one where one of the Hawks gently bit the other’s beak:
