Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Tree crunch – August 1st, 2016

We had a rain storm last night and although it didn’t seem so rough it looks like it was the cause of this branch collapse:

A fellow Hawk-watcher and I walked from Washington Square to Union Square and neighboring blocks for an hour and a half today but didn’t find any of the Hawks.

However my friend did see one of the adults and the fledgling in the park yesterday so that was good news.

Sadie was seen at a regular 3rd Street perch later in the day (hours after my ‘shift’ as it were).
