Peaceful Hawkery and rat delivery – May 11th, 2017

Today’s visit to Washington Square Park was very mellow. I saw Bobby for only a few seconds but watched Sadie stand guard at the nest for about an hour. She looked relaxed the whole time.

He was off within seconds:

I never found out where he disappeared to.

Pigeons panicked over the park square/fountain later on but no raptor in sight at the time:

I looked and saw one of the Tompkins Square Park Hawks sitting on one of their regular perches directly east of the Washington Square Park Hawk nest:

It was rough getting the image in focus thanks to some heat waves unfortunately:

Bobby delivered a rat to the nest later in the afternoon:
