Sadie Hawk preens at sunset – October 30th, 2018

I caught up with mama Sadie Hawk just north of Washington Square Park before sunset today. She was sitting on the southeast corner atop One Fifth Avenue:

Sunset commenced. Sadie looked like she was enjoying soaking up the rays.

I watched her for an hour and 10 minutes. I was waiting to take pictures of her eventually flying off her perch. I got distracted watching a cute puppy so of course I missed the shots of Sadie leaving the park!

I was leaving for the day when I spotted one of the Hawks sitting on the southwestern corner building:

I was too far away to determine which Hawk this was.

The Hawk flew away from the building a minute after I had spotted it so that was lucky timing:
