The Red-tailed Hawks of Washington Square Park, NYC… mostly
At 7:43 this morning I heard my local Peregrine Falcon crying out angrily/threateningly. It sounded like a pretty awful commotion so I grabbed my camera and raced to my kitchen window to see what the fuss was all about.
I saw what looked like a Raven on the Falcon’s regular perch. It was pecking at food the Falcon had stored up there:

Because of my spotty internet in my second hotel, I’ll offer only the basic details of today’s activities. I only had a few hours to kill between hotels so I visited the nearby Royal Botanic Gardens again to see if there was anything new to see and because it was such a great place to spend time in yesterday.
