I ventured out with a friend to Tompkins Square Park this morning to have a look at the Red-tailed Hawk nest I mentioned yesterday.

I ventured out with a friend to Tompkins Square Park this morning to have a look at the Red-tailed Hawk nest I mentioned yesterday.
It was looking mighty fine:
Washington Square Park is back to being in a more glorious state. I was at the park for a couple of hours looking for Bobby and Rosie (who I did not get to see) and was glad to see that 99% of the litter I had remarked on last week was cleaned up. The lawns’ overgrowth was cleared as well.

My first Hawk visit was to check in on the Plaza male.
He had been perched on the Plaza Hotel at first but I didn’t see exactly where he had been sitting when I saw him fly from the building’s direction.
He soared a bit over Central Park’s Grand Army Plaza and along 59th Street (just outside Central Park).
