Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Can’t Quit the Hawks… :)

(Video of Violet below) I spent a couple of hours today taking snaps and video of Pip and Violet. Pip merrily practiced flapping and hopping or just sat around watching the bipeds in the park below. Violet stood guard from one of her favorite perches, a building along the East side of Washington Square Park. I took footage of Pip hopping today but won’t be able to edit and upload it until Friday. Sorry!

So glad I caught this footage of Violet taking off from atop a building along the East side of Washington Square Park. Soon after getting airborne, she swooped around the line of trees between her building perch and her nest. After several seconds she joined Pip in the nest.
