The Red-tailed Hawks of Washington Square Park, NYC… mostly
Because I’d seen one of the southeastern Red-tailed Hawks picking at terrace trees for nesting material a couple of days ago, I looked toward the same site while on my way to work this morning.
I was pleasantly shocked to see it sitting relaxed on the middle terrace tree:

I heard from a couple of different people during the day that Rosie and Bobby spent considerable time together perching, soaring, and twigging on Tuesday.
At dusk, I saw Bobby hunting in a fenced-off area of Washington Square Park while Rosie sat atop a building nearby.
