I was not there to take photos (was home sick with a cold) but two intrepid hawk-watchers notified me that they were seeing two hawks together at the regular night-time building pipe roost (otherwise known as the Red Roost Inn). 🙂

Hawk report from November 9, 2011
Fellow Pipsters were kind enough to contact me yesterday to report seeing two red-tailed hawks around Washington Square Park yesterday afternoon. That likely means Bobby and Violet were the hawks!
During the latter portion of their visit, Bobby was seen on the Judson Memorial Church cross while Violet was on the top of a nearby building. She was seen flying Southeast when it got dark. A few minutes later, Bobby flew in her direction. That was the last time the hawks were seen for the evening. It sounds like they roosted in a new spot by the park.
I went by the Red Roost Inn twice but saw no hawk perched there for the night. I searched nearby roof tops in search of the new roost but was unsuccessful so I took some local photographs. It’s nice to know they spent the evening together though.

Bobby and Violet from Saturday, November 5, 2011
Bobby is seen throughout the whole video flying, perching, hunting, and eating. Violet is only seen perched atop one of the nearby buildings (at the 3:08 mark), flying from 4:38 – 4:50 and sitting in a tree next to Bobby (before he flies to another tree) from 5:29 to 5:47.
