Although my photos did not turn out well, the experience of seeing Bobby and Rosie mate this afternoon was delightful.
When I first arrived at Washington Square Park, Bobby was alone on the Judson Memorial Church cross:
Rosie flew over to him from the west:
After a couple of minutes, Bobby flew off the cross and to a building perch to the west:
He then returned to her and mated with her:
He left her side one last time and flew toward the direction of the Red Roost Inn:
Rosie followed him, flying almost the exact same flight path:
Although a few of us searched for the pair for several minutes, we didn’t find where they might have gone. They were not perched at the Red Roost Inn. They are always full of surprises.
