A couple of adult gulls were none too pleased with the presence of a juvenile in their midst for some reason. They worked together to give it the heave-ho from their area of Central Park’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.

On Saturday I spied a white-breasted nuthatch eating from a cup filled with seed in a tree. How nice of the person who left the food for any birds that might pass by.

I saw a photo of the same cup of seed on another birder’s blog so it seems to be a popular hot spot for bird-watchers and small songbirds alike.

This white-breasted nuthatch made away with a tasty treat:

I saw this snacky Robin when I was in Central Park on Saturday. It enjoyed a couple of berries while sitting in the sunlight.
