Because of the oppressive heat and humidity this second day of our latest heat wave in New York, I could only bear being in Washington Square Park for about half an hour. I checked as much of the park and surrounding buildings as I could before I gave up and went home.
The Hawks had been accounted for earlier in the day but were keeping a low profile when I was in the park. They were certainly being smarter than me and were probably in a cooler spot than I was.
The only time I saw a Hawk was when I spotted Bobby for a few seconds as he flew east to west. He disappeared behind a building. I looked for him but never saw him again.
