Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

WSP Hawk report from last two days – October 16th, 2012

I could only visit Washington Square Park to look for Rosie or Bobby for about 45 minutes on Monday the 15th between rain showers. I saw no Hawks.

I was having no luck seeing either bird in the park this evening as well until a friend called to say he just saw a Hawk east of the park. He reported seeing the Hawk fly low over a building at the corner of Greene Street and Waverly Place (where the red A is located below). The park is to the left:

I rushed over to meet my friend and search for the Hawk. It was dark out so it was clearly roosting time. We searched for several minutes but did not find where the Hawk went.
