I’m in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts this weekend, visiting family for part of this holiday break.
Today a friend and I visited DAR, or The Daughters of the American Revolution State Forest, for about an hour.
It was 23 degrees during our walk through the woods. It was blustery and snowing too. Just perfect!
Upper Highland Lake, partially covered with ice:
Standing at the lake beach, looking toward the trails:
In the trees at last:
It’s lovely being in pristine woods again. We saw only two other people there during our stay (a man and his son walking on the trail).
