Bobby Hawk for a few seconds – July 12th, 2013

The only Washington Square Park Red-tailed Hawk I saw during the course of an hour and a half today was Bobby. And I only saw him for a few seconds as he flew along the southern edge of the park.

I hadn’t visited the park in days and was really looking forward to seeing the Hawk family. Although I didn’t see any of the fledglings it was great to see at least one member of the family.

Others had seen Bobby and Rosie and at least one fledgling over the last few days. But the fledglings are being found on buildings a little further from the outskirts of the park these days so it’s getting trickier to track them down.
