Neighborhood Peregrine Falcon, Bobby at dusk – November 12th, 2014

It’s been several weeks since I’ve seen a neighborhood Peregrine Falcon.

The one I’d been watching from my kitchen window doesn’t seem to like hanging out there anymore unfortunately.

The Peregrine I saw today could have been the same bird but there was no surefire way to know. It was seated on a building at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 1st Street:

For fun I took a screen shot of the Falcon’s building in relation to Washington Square Park and Tompkins Square Park:

I tore myself away from the Falcon so I could visit Washington Square Park.

Bobby appeared on the Judson Memorial Church cross about 15 minutes after I had arrived at the park.

He left the cross after 15 minutes:

He had flown westward.

He returned to the cross 4 minutes later:

He left for good after 15 minutes:

I saw him dip down low outside the northern border of the park but I couldn’t find him.

The TV show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit was being filmed in the park square so I checked out the scene and got a glimpse of Ice-T wrapping up a take:
