I visited mid Central Park for the first time in ages on the 2nd. I think I saw Pale Male flying from east to west for a couple of seconds but never got a chance to photograph him. I did see other nice birds though, some of them migrants.

There were rats all over the place (at the water bodies, in the bushes, along the paths, etc.). It was pretty bad:

I didn’t see any Hawks in Washington Square Park today but a fellow Hawk-watcher did see Sadie this morning.
A pair of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers flitted about a few trees in the western side of the park:
