The second Washington Square Park Red-tailed Hawk baby fledged today! The archived footage of the fledge is included in the post. The nest Hawk got a hearty meal and the first fledgling made an appearance later in the day.

Fledgling gets itself in and out of a jam – June 18th, 2018
The Washington Square Park fledgling got itself into and out of a little trouble today. The heat made for quieter Hawk activity overall but didn’t stop the nest babies from having some fun.

Today was a great day watching the Washington Square Park Hawk fledgling fly about and explore buildings along the eastern side of the park. The nest Hawk babies had some of their own action with mighty jump-flaps along the ledge and visits from mom and dad.
