Red-tailed Hawk landing on nest, Bobst Library, NYU, New York City

Site Update: Link to the live NYU Hawk nest cam

I have created a separate page linking to the live NYU Hawk nest cam.

Click here for the direct link.

Or, if you are on this site on a laptop or desktop, scroll up to the top of the page and click on “Nest Cam” (as illustrated by the blue arrow in the picture below). That is a link that takes you to the nest cam.

As an FYI, there will be times when the nest cam will go dark or replay older footage when there are technical issues. The live stream eventually returns.

To view in “Full Screen”:  Hover over the bottom of the cam stream. A few menu items will appear. Click on the arrows at the bottom right corner (as illustrated below). Those arrows will make the stream full size:

The Hawks will start to visit the nest with much more frequency beginning in January as they bring new twigs to the nest and refortify the structure in anticipation of next spring’s eggs.

  1. Thanks , Roger-Paw for thinking of all the “Peeping Hawkers”
Spring is a delight, watching the Hawks tending the nursery.
