A young Red-tailed Hawk visited Washington Square Park today and caught a couple of rodents before being chased away by resident Hawks Bobby and Sadie.

Autumn is nearly in full swing in Washington Square. Park pigeons gathered together in safety after getting chased by a Cooper’s Hawk.

I watched Sadie relax and preen in the deep sunset rays today. Another Hawk sighting after Sadie’s departure capped my visit.
