A suspended scaffold has been attached to the roof supports and work on the facade near the nest has commenced. I received an email update from NYU after I returned home from today’s park visit.

Washington Square Park creatures and migrating bird guests looked to be having a good day. One of the Hawks flashed by too quickly to capture.

New construction and renovation work is being done on the building that houses the Hawk nest. One concern is that the nest will be blocked from the Hawks’ access during the winter as they prepare it for their springtime eggs.
