Violet Soaring Toward the Washington Square Park Arch – 06/03/11
Violet the red-tailed hawk is seen flying above the trees at Washington Square Park on a search for a meal for her baby chick named Pip. This was the last time I saw Violet today. She soon disappeared behind the arch that stands at the 5th Avenue entrance to the Park.
