The Red-tailed Hawks of Washington Square Park, NYC… mostly
It had been nine days since my last visit to Washington Square Park and I was eager to see the Hawks in person again. This was especially so because the Hawks were new parents again and I was looking forward to observing their post-hatch behavior.

The third (and final) Hawk egg hatched early this morning around 7:10AM and had what I believe to be its first meal around 9:55AM. The footage below is from the NYU Hawk Nest cam view of that feeding.

I tuned into the NYU Hawk nest cam at 7:12AM this morning, right as the third Washington Square Park Hawk egg was hatching and captured the footage below.
The first and second eggs hatched on April 30th (the first hatch around 7:44AM and the second at 10:26PM).
