I got to see Mr. Bobby Hawk in Washington Square Park for close to an hour this warmish, sunny day. He was on his One Fifth Avenue perch when I first arrived at the park:

It’s been extremely cold here in NYC which hampered my Hawking a bit. However a combination of cabin fever and missing the Hawks compelled me to visit Washington Square Park for about 45 minutes today.
A rat walked so close to one lady, her feet almost made contact with it as she walked:

Bobby and Sadie chase Turkey Vulture away from Washington Square Park – January 2nd, 2018
Happy New Year! It was a bit chilly in Washington Square Park today so I only spent an hour and a half Hawk-watching. In that time I saw Bobby on One Fifth, he and Sadie perch about the park, and them working together to chase a Turkey Vulture away from their territory.
