I just received a text from one of the regular hawk-watchers that Rosie and Bobby’s first baby hatched. I was working on my last blog post so I missed seeing the blessed event live on the nestcam when it happened. It will be so much fun to watch mom feed the baby in the morning.

One of Rosie and Bobby’s eggs is hatching – April 9th, 2012
2:00PM. I was just looking at the nest cam and saw one of the eggs ‘pipping’. It truly looks like one of the eggs is in its first stages of hatching.

This is a very exciting development!
I am especially excited because I had predicted the eggs may start to hatch this week in my post below:

One of the NYU Red-Tailed Hawk Eggs has hatched!!!
