Despite waiting it out in Washington Square Park for just over two hours last night, there were no hawks to report. A few Pip Patrol Officers stalked Union Square Park but they came up hawkless as well. No, there wasn’t much to look at in Washington Square Park except for maybe some flowers:

Apologies for not getting a photo taken in time but last evening around 7:45 as three of us sat chatting and scanning for hawks at Washington Square Park, a sole hawk flew due East along the outer edge of the park and past neighboring NYU buildings. We searched for the hawk for a good forty minutes in vain. Today’s forecast calls for intermittent showers so there’s no telling yet how successful any search would be today. Stay dry!

The first hour looking for hawks tonight was not fruitful for me until Bobby showed his handsome self at the Southeast side corner of Washington Square Park:
