It was lightly raining when I got to Washington Square Park yesterday to go hawking. My jacket did not have a hood so there was no way I could hold my umbrella and camera at the same time to take photos of the baby hawk I saw standing tall on the nest ledge. It was a delightful sight though. I did not see either of the parent hawks in the few minutes I was at the park. It began to rain harder so I went home.
