I received confirmation from a kind NYU representative a few minutes ago that there has indeed been visual confirmation of one egg in the Washington Square Park Red-tailed Hawk nest. Cheers to the ‘happy couple’ and hopes for a healthy brood this season. 🙂

Sadie may have laid an egg – March 13th, 2016
There was a lot of Hawk activity in Washington Square Park this morning. A couple of Hawk-watchers watched as Bobby and Sadie flew into the nest several times.
One of my friends noted both of the Hawks circling the sky together at 10:45AM.
My better half and I visited the park hours later, at 6:45PM (15 minutes before sunset), to find Sadie in the nest:

Bobby on the tippy top of the Con Ed tower – March 12th, 2016
My Hawking was brief today but I got to see Bobby on the Con Ed tower and either him or Sadie flying over Broadway toward Washington Square Park later on.
