The Red-tailed Hawks of Washington Square Park, NYC… mostly
We’ve had days of rain in NYC which curtailed my Hawking a bit. The weather broke and we had a beautiful day overall today.
Bobby was circling over Washington Square Park when I arrived today. He was toting food for his kin, a small dead bird:

The Washington Square Park Hawks have from all appearances been doing very well the last few days as they settle into their baby-raising routine.
There wasn’t much action when I visited the park today. A Mockingbird harassed Bobby for a minute, he circled super high in the sky, then returned to One Fifth Avenue to rest.
Sadie was in the nest the whole time. She preened a little bit and maybe fed the kids too but it was a little hard to tell from my vantage point.
