Fledge Day! The world becomes a jungle gym – June 10th, 2017

Yesterday I was at Washington Square Park for six hours like a silly goose because I got antsy and wanted to be there in case the baby Hawk fledged. Ha!

Instead, it apparently fledged around 5:30 this morning. I do have photos from yesterday’s visit I may post as bonus pics in the near future. You can watch the archived Hawk cam footage of the fledge here!

Hawk adults circling high, youngster has only a few jump flaps – June 7th, 2017

My four hour Hawk visit at Washington Square Park today was rather quiet despite its duration. The young Hawk mostly relaxed and had only a couple of jump-flap/flying sessions.

Bobby and Sadie were impressive with their high circling together. They followed each other west then north and back to the park.
