It was beautiful weather in Washington Square Park today and the Hawk family was in excellent form. The parents sat together at times and the babies had bouts of rambunctiousness peppered in with naps.
The babies were nappy and laying low on the far right hand side of the nest’s window ledge when I arrived.
I took a screen shot of the nest cam a couple of hours before I left for the park and they were resting closer to the nest at the time:

Bobby moved to the ledge opposite after a little while:
It was very gusty and he looked like he was having a chore keeping himself steady. He flew off his perch and northward after 11 minutes.
Sadie stayed put. I left the park 15 minutes later to buy a snack and as luck would have it I saw Bobby circling the block north of the park:
He soon joined Sadie:
They sat together for 15 minutes before Bobby flew off and north again.
The Hawk babies got active and did some more ledge-flapping. The lower baby looking up at its sibling looked pretty funny to me:

Bobby flew into the nest with a food delivery around 25 minutes after he had last flown off One Fifth:
