Today’s visit was a mellow one with the Washington Square Park Hawk fledglings. Papa Bobby Hawk treated us to a brief overhead fly-by.

Washington Square Hawk fledglings soar to new heights – July 13th, 2018
The Washington Square Hawk fledglings amazed me today with their impressive high-flying skills. They landed on high building perches and palled around before circling together over the park again.

Two of the three Washington Square Park Hawk fledglings spent a good three hours mostly relaxing in the western side of the park. A couple of fun dives at pigeons broke the mellowness.
