One of the Washington Square Park fledglings flew nearly within an arm’s length of me as it zipped into the park trees. Bobby fed one of the other fledglings a freshly-caught lunch. Mama Sadie Hawk made an appearance as well.

There were a few Washington Square Park Hawk flybys until two of the fledglings settled down to take turns eating a pigeon meal. Bobby later dropped off another meal for the youngsters before it began to rain.

The three Washington Square Park Red-tailed Hawk fledglings are still keeping close together as they explore their new environment. Papa Bobby Hawk was on baby-sitting duty during my visit today.
