I followed Bobby Hawk around Washington Square Park for a little over an hour today as he rested and hunted in the trees.
I first found him in a tree at the eastern side of the park:

I followed Bobby Hawk around Washington Square Park for a little over an hour today as he rested and hunted in the trees.

A fellow Hawk-watcher saw both Hawks fly into the nest this morning. They saw Bobby circle over the park with a leafy twig in his beak before entering the nest. Sadie then followed him into the nest.
I opened the live nest cam (which is still active by the way) and saw the new greenery in the nest:
I’m probably not alone in finding all nest activity like this very exciting and good signs for the spring. 🙂
I didn’t see either Washington Square Park Hawk yesterday (or so I thought).
A beautiful bird landed in one of the trees in front of me and I didn’t realize at the time that it was a Mockingbird:
