I saw Hawks briefly as I ran errands on this chilly and blustery day. The Washington Square Park pigeons were active as they evaded predators.

We had several raptor visitors in Washington Square Park over the course of one hour. I saw Red-tailed Hawks, a Cooper’s Hawk, and a Peregrine Falcon.

I had a surprise sighting of a young Red-tailed Hawk sitting relaxed atop a building in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
