I had a one minute window to take photos of one of the southern Central Park red-tailed hawks until the rain got too heavy. I was hoping to get to the park earlier when it was still dry. Oh well. At least it was a treat to see one of the hawks on the same rectangular structure as seen on Valentine’s Day.

Mating Canada Geese, Central Park – February 4, 2012
As spring time approaches, the birds and the bees are gearing up for their next broods.
A couple of weekends ago I saw these geese preening next to each other on the water by Central Park’s Belvedere Castle. Little did I expect for them to start mating.

Evening regards to Bobby – February 15, 2012
I visited Washington Square Park after work to join my hawk-watching friends who were present when Rosie and Bobby copulated earlier in the day.
